BingoBingo rules are quite simple. A caller attracts figures, one through 75 (75 in American Bingo rules, and 90 in British Bingo and Australian Bingo rules), from a machine very similar to the famous lottery ball holders. Then the caller puts the figure up on a display, then calls out the figure. You will have a certain number of seconds to locate the figure on your Bingo cards.
On most Bingo games Bingo numbers will be called 15-20 seconds apart unless there is a possibility of a winner, then the caller will call the numbers at least 25 seconds apart.

Basically, participants obtain cards with figures on them in a 5 x 5 grid corresponding to the five letters in the word B-I-N-G-O. Numbers such as B-2 or 0-68 are then drawn at random until one participant completes a ‘Bingo’ pattern, such as a line with five figures in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row on one of their cards and wins the reward.

There are lots of possible bingo patterns & rules that can be played. There are bingo cards that have the Bingo patterns already marked/highlighted, and have three basic designations:

  • Normal or Static bingo patterns - These bingo patterns cannot be moved or shifted on the Bingo card and are won only when every square of the pattern that is marked/highlighted on the card is covered.
  • Crazy bingo patterns - These bingo cards allow the pattern to be rotated in 90 degrees increments for a winning bingo pattern match (by 90°, 180° or 270°).
  • Wild bingo patterns - These bingo cards have scattered patterns. The bingo pattern stays in exactly the same place (static) but can be found anywhere on the card.

The following popular bingo patterns are an examples of some of the top winning bingo patterns:

 Bingo winning combinations

There are several different bingo games played throughout a session. The games vary with the bingo hall, but there are always regular games. In a regular game, you fill your card with a straight-line bingo horizontal, diagonal, or vertical. In most regular games, four corners also counts.

Other games will vary by bingo parlor, but here is a sampling of the most common:

  •  Bingo Blood, Sweat, and Tears - Fill a single bingo card with three bingos (corners do not count)
  • Bingo Six Pack - Fill to make a pattern of six numbers, two rows of three each, horizontal or vertical. Sometimes you can use the free space, sometimes not.
  • Bingo Nine pack - Fill a square of nine numbers.
  • Bingo Eight states - Fill the numbers surrounding the free space.
  • Bingo Postage stamps - Fill two squares of four numbers on a single card, each in a corner of your card.
  • Bingo Kite and Tail - Fill a diagonal plus one of the corners running through the diagonal, to make what looks like a kite.
  • Bingo Top and bottom - Fill the top row and bottom row.
  • Bingo Dotted picture frame - Fill every other space around the card.
  • Bingo Cover all - The last game of the night. Fill all numbers on a card for bingo.
